General Terms & Conditions

  • The boarding fee is due on day of departure (payment on departure).

  • Fees are charged per day and are inclusive of the day of arrival and day of departure.

  • Payments are currently accepted in the form of cash.

  • A condition of your cat’s stay with Kirby Cats is that your cat is in a fit and healthy condition on arrival day and has proof of vaccination.

  • In the case of a cat not being collected within 7 days of the agreed collection date, and with no communication from the owner or the emergency contact, we reserve the right to gift the cat to a suitable animal charity for rehoming. Any additional fees, including boarding fees, veterinary fees, mediation and fees paid to the charity, will remain due.

  • In the unusual event your cat has not been collected within 14 days of the agreed check-out date and no communication has been received from the owner or the emergency contact a decision to rehome the guest will be made at Kirby Cats discretion.

Check-in and check out times:

  • Weekday 7.30 - 9.30am or 17.30 - 19.30

  • Weekends 10.00- 12.00pm or 17.30 to 19.00

  • Bank holidays check-in and check-out times are subject to change (please note we charge double for bank holidays)

  • Kirby Cats offers a premium Cat Collection/Return Home Service for a small additional cost.


  • Please ensure that your cat is up to date with their vaccinations for Feline Enteritis and Feline Calicivirus (Cat Flu). The valid vaccination card must be presented at the time of boarding and left with us for the duration of your cat’s stay.

  • We do not accept un-neutered male cats over six months of age.

  • All cats must be treated for fleas and worms prior to admission to the Kirby Cats Pet Hotel.

  • Should fleas or worms be found evident appropriate treatment will be administered and charged accordingly. Should this action be deemed necessary the Kirby Cats Pet Hotel will take all reasonable measures to notify you in advance of any treatments given.

  • If your cat is found to have flees or worms we will contact your vet and you will be liable for all fees incurred.

  • We reserve the right to obtain veterinary advices and subsequent treatment if we have concerns. We will administer prescription medication only with the authority of the owner.

  • We will contact you or a person authorized by you, should we have any concerns whilst your cat boards with us and hence we therefore require a contact telephone number for the duration of your cat’s stay.

  • All medicines to be administered must be clearly marked with the cat’s name, instructions of use, dosage rates and times, and accompanied be details of the condition being treated.

  • If your cat should appear unwell whilst in our care, we will initially attempt to contact your own vet. Should this not be possible for any reason, we will enlist the services of our Veterinary Surgeon, fees may be applicable. Any fees incurred as a result of a pre-existing condition will be the responsibility of the owner and must be settled by the owner at check out.

  • If we are at all concerned about the health of your cat we will contact a vet, preferably yours. Vet fees incurred due to a pre-existing condition of unrelated to their stay will be the responsibility of the owner. Veterinary advices will be the deciding factor.

  • Kirby Cats’ vet of trust is: The Park Veterinary Group Ltd in Glenfield

  • Public liability insurance is provided although it is always advisable that cats are individually insured by their owners.

  • Cats are left at owner’s risk. The Kirby Cats Pet Hotel cannot be held liable for illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.


  • Covid safety measures will be shared upon booking.

Cancellation Policy

  • We require 7 days of notice in the event of a cancellation. If we are notified outside of this period the full balance will be required unless we are able to offer the stay to another client where a partial refund may be offered at our discretion.
